| EAGLE SCOUT & SERVICE GROUP PROJECTS - The Ensign Foundation provides an avenue for Eagle Scout projects and service groups to assist in humanitarian aid to people in South America. |
| B'NAI SHALOM - B'nai Shalom (Children of Peace) is an organization of Mormons and Jews. They always have a gathering (meeting) on the Thursday night before General Conference in Salt Lake City. | SCHOLARSHIPS
- Educational opportunities for Israeli &
American students to experience other cultures.
Currently, this is an LDS, Israeli scholarship for study
at BYU. |
| GLORIA - The Life of the Savior, Part 1. This monumental musical production is composed, orchestrated and conducted by Lex de Azevedo. It was performed by the Millennium Choir and recorded in Israel during September of 1999. "Gloria" brought LDS performers into a cultural exchange with Israeli musicians. |
| TRANSPORTATION
TO RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL FUNCTIONS - More than sixty
Israeli LDS members (including new immigrants) are
provided the only means of transportation to LDS
religious and cultural functions. They are gathered from
Ashkelon, Tel Aviv, Herzlia and Netanya and brought to
Jerusalem. Others, from Haifa, Nazareth and the Galilee
need transportation to the Galilee Branch. Each member
pays what they can for the bus, the rest is sponsored by
the Foundation with the support of other members and
friends like you. |
| LECTURES
/ CONCERTS / FIRESIDES - These unique experiences
bring the spirit of Israel to those who have not had the
opportunity to visit the Holy Land. All cost associated
with these events are paid by the Ensign Foundation -- as
they have been for the past ten years and for more than
600 events. |
| ARCHEOLOGICAL
EXCAVATIONS IN ISRAEL - The Foundation provides
access for students who are interested in “touching
Israel” and helping to discover its history. This is
a unique program for LDS youth, and no other program with
LDS influence offers a similar opportunity. |
| THE
HOLY LANDS REVEALED BOOK - This publication of Israeli
and LDS insights of the Holy Land, written by Daniel
Rona, and with beautiful photographs by well known LDS
photographer, Don O. Thorpe, will be of profound benefit
to those who have been to the Holy Land, and also to
those who have not yet visited Israel. |
