THE ANCIENT SEAPORT OF JAFFA Jaffa, sometimes called Joppa, is an old seaport near the modern city of Tel Aviv. Jaffa was the main seaport in Israel at the time of Solomon. It is also famous because Jonah sailed from Jaffa before his experience inside a great fish. |
