THE WESTERN (WAILING) WALL The Western Wall was sometimes called the “Wailing Wall” because Jews were often not allowed to pray at this remnant of their temple. However, the nation of Israel is now restored and today’s Jews come to the wall in thankful prayer and rejoicing. |
