Many people have given of themselves to bringing this synopsis of Israel to you. My desires to publish glad tidings have been greatly inspired by my faithful and patient wife, Marilyn. Our five children also know how consumed our family is in revealing Israel to as many people as we can. I am very grateful for their insistence on teaching and sometimes correcting me in points of history and the Hebrew language. Our family is a wonderful combination of Joseph and Judah. We present this work to bring Judah and Joseph even closer together. Another dedicated. Joseph. whom I thank from my heart is Dr. Daniel H. Ludlow, Professor at Brigham Young University and a committed teacher and servant for the Lord. He is a friend and has been a powerful influence. I stand humbled at his generous counsel and kindness. I am grateful to John Tvednes, senior researcher at the Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies (FARMS), for teaching me, by example, how to learn. The continuous friendship of Don O. Thorpe along with his artistic photographic and creative talent has made the film series and this book possible. Mike Agrelius, a friend and business associate has seen the project through its technical stages and more importantly has been the wonderful eyes and ears of a skilled reviewer. It is a pleasure to also recognize Marvin Goldstein, Lex de Azevedo, Kurt Bestor, Janice Kapp Perry, Michael McLean, Bryce Neubert and Merrill Jenson for the contributions they have made to the Israel Revealed tours through their music. Their music did much to contribute to the spirit of understanding the life of the Savior in his land. The continuing friendship of Dr. Stanley M. Wagner, Rabbi, blossomed with his participation in the tours. He has taught me much and has helped me focus on the ancient sources of Judaism.
