One of the “greatest experiences of your life” commences with connecting flights taking you from the US across the Atlantic.

Itinerary of the Day
Upon arrival at Amman airport, you will be greeted by our Associate Representative from
Plaza Tours, who will meet you before visa and passport formalities. Our representative
will inform you of any applicable visa fee and go through the formalities to acquire the visa
for you. After passport control, follow his instructions in claiming your luggage and clearing
through customs. He will escort you to your transfer that will take you to your home away
from home in Amman.
Day 1: Magnificent Petra

Begin experiencing an adventure much like the movie, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” where Indiana (Harrison Ford) discovers the coveted Holy Grail. It was filmed on location at PETRA, helping to make it Jordan’s most popular tourist attraction. Discover the Red-Rose City half as old as time, carved out of stone more than 2,000 years ago. Hidden in the craggy mountains, we can reach it by walking through a narrow defile or “silk” flanked by towering cliffs. The sudden view of Petra’s most spectacular monument, the KHAZNEH or Treasury, is dramatic. Other monuments carved right into the multicolored mountains are spread throughout the area. Following your adventuresome tour, you will travel to Amman Jordan where you will spend the night.
Depart Jordan
Insights of the Day
Departing Amman, an hour’s drive will bring you down to the lowest place on earth. Prepare to cross the
Jordan River into the Promised Land, much like the Israelites did, being led by Joshua, right against
Jericho. The Plaza Tours representative will guide you through the Jordanian terminal and security,
passport, and customs formalities (with any applicable fees). A shuttle will then convey you across the
Jordan River, where you will need to repeat border formalities again upon entering Israel. Your luggage
will need to be handed over for security clearance. After clearing security screening yourself, you will
finish the process with Israeli passport formalities. Your shuttle driver should be waiting for you as you
exit the terminal arrival hall. If the driver cannot locate you, go to one of the Israeli security personnel. In
rare circumstances, they may need to send clearances for the driver to enter the border complex. Upon
exiting the border complex, you will proceed “up to Jerusalem.”
